Class Photos and School Yearbook

Please note that the purchase of the Class Formal / Level Collage shots is optional. Your parents can refer to the vendor's letter attached with the envelope for further details on how to place orders. The vendor will be at the canteen on 29 and 30 August 2013 during the 3 recesses (10.00am to 11.30am) to collect the order envelopes. The choices available are: Class Formal Shot (5R), Class Formal Shot (8R), Formal Level Collage (8R), Fun Level Collage (8R). 5R shots are at $3 each while 8R shots are at $6 each.

The photo that all of you are expected to purchase is the Class Fun Shot. Details for this is in a separate letter for the payment of the Class Fun Shot and school yearbook.

CCA vis-à-vis YES! Programme Training on 29 July 2013

All CCAs, supplementary classes and remedial classes on Monday, 29 July 2013 are cancelled. However, the YES! Programme training is on as usual, from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. Please note that the venue is at the Science Lab instead of 4P classroom. You are reminded to be mindful of your noise level and be quiet and considerate as it is the Prelim Oral Examinations that day too.

Annual Phototaking

We will be having our annual school phototaking on Monday, 29 July 2013, from 11.00am to 11.15am at the Concourse. Proper attire (blue school pinafore with your badges, white blouse, socks and shoes, and your hair tied or pinned up neatly) is expected of you. Since the phototaking is right after your recess, my advice to all of you is to refrain from playing in the hot sun (you won't want to look all sweaty and dishevelled in your yearbook class photo right?), and be sure to wipe all traces of food and drink from your faces (you won't want to have any "special effects makeup" right?).

Show Your Support for our OLGC Entrepreneurs!

YESCOM (Youth Enterpreneurs' Skills Competition) is a national event open to all primary and secondary schools, JCs, ITEs and the polytechnics. A total of 30 teams/stalls will be participating at the HDB Hub Mall, Toa Payoh for the sales finale on Sunday, 7 July 2013 from 9.00am to 6.00pm.

Several speakers will also be present to inspire the public to embark on entrepreneurship opportunities.

It's Youth Day this Sunday, and Monday is a school holiday, so do visit our OLGC stall and show your support for our budding entrepreneurs, Arielle and Nabilah!

Health Screening

The health screening exercise for 4 Compassion will be held at the library this coming Wednesday, 3 July 2013 at 9.30am. Those of you who are bespectacled, please ensure that you don your spectacles on that day.

Your health booklets will be returned to you after your health checkup. Please keep them at home till the next health screening exercise.

Learning Journeys to Treelodge@Punggol and Chong Boon Secondary School

Please note that the P4 Eco-Learning Journey to Treelodge@Punggol will be re-scheduled to this coming Friday, 5 July 2013 from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

There will be no re-issue of consent form for the Learning Journey. However, a note will be issued to you tomorrow, 2 July to inform your parents of the change.

The Environmental Awareness Learning Journey to Chong Boon Secondary School on Wednesday, 3 July from 1.00pm to 3.30pm remains unchanged.
